About the Championship

The championship brings together the leading women amateurs from across the Asia-Pacific region.

The Women’s Amateur Asia-Pacific Championship is one of the most prestigious events in amateur golf. Established to develop the women’s game across the region, the championship provides a pathway to the highest levels of the sport while celebrating international competition and excellence.

A total of 84 players from 28 countries are set to contest the championship which was developed by the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation (APGC) and The R&A to nurture talent and provide a pathway for the region’s elite women amateurs to the international stage.

With a record nine Kiwis, including Eunso Choi (pictured), New Zealand will be well represented.

Refreshments and entertainment are available in the Royal Village.

This relaxed hospitality zone offers a welcoming place to pause and enjoy a range of food and refreshments throughout the day.

With picnic tables and entertainment, it’s designed as a social hub where spectators can unwind, connect, and soak up the atmosphere between moments of play.

You can refill your water bottle and access toilet facilities at The Village.

  • Catch the Metlink train to Heretaunga Station on the Hutt Valley line. It’s a 9-minute walk to Royal Wellington.
  • The number 110 bus from Petone Station to Emerald Hill (both directions) stops on Fergusson Drive a few minutes’ walk from Royal Wellington.

  • Parking is available in the wider Heretaunga area.
  • Please note that there is no parking available on Golf Road or at the Club.
